DRC is currently looking for a highly-qualified Supply Chain Assistant (Fleet Assistant) to join our team in Mykolaiv.
About the job:
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Mykolaiv is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant (Fleet Assistant) who will support DRC operations and activities, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of all motorized assets, will be responsible for procurement of goods and services as per assigned tasks and logistics functions at the level of the Mykolaiv office (storage, warehousing, transportation, etc.).
This position will report to the Fleet Team Leader.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support daily fleet operations under the supervision of the Fleet Officer / Fleet Team Leader in the Mykolaiv office.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections, ensure mandatory safety equipment is available, and report any malfunctions or safety risks.
- Monitor vehicle use, location, fuel consumption, and fleet consumables.
- Collect, maintain, and update fleet documentation, including trip sheets, vehicle logs, reports, insurance documents, and databases.
- Follow up on regular vehicle maintenance and assist with vehicle rentals in line with internal procedures.
- Support drivers with fuel and mileage reporting, training, and compliance with Fleet SOPs and road safety regulations.
- Contribute to staff safety, accident prevention, incident reporting, and overall fleet efficiency, including cost optimization (TCO).
- Coordinate with Programs, HR, Finance, HDP, ABA Consortium and other departments on transport-related matters and ensure proper archiving of fleet documentation.
About you
To be successful in this role, candidates should have relevant experience, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or any other relevant field.
- Basic knowledge of the technical condition of the vehicle and conducting visual inspections.
- Valid category B driver's license
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/Logistics and Supply Chain Management/Economics or related fields
- Experience with standard procurement procedures and documentation.
- Fluency in Ukrainian language.
Desirable
- Experience in supply chain management including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management.
- Basic knowledge of English.
- Experience with auto mechanics or electrical installations..
